I have a truck from Lone Mountain. I made every payment on time for a year. However, I am going through difficult time in life and I cannot drive. The doctor said I have serious blood pressure problems and I might be losing my class A license. The doc wants me to join special exercise and diet programs that is inhibiting me to drive. I am 58 years old. Now my question is that if I turned the truck in will Lone mountain come after my Assets? Will they put a lien on my property?

That's very unfortunate. I hope you find your health and make it back on the road quickly.
I can't answer as for what LM would come after but I'd say with your health being the cause for you to lose your license it might be enough for a lawyer to terminate your contract.

Have you thought about hiring a driver to run your truck for you?

If you turn your truck in you will get a Repossession Mark on your Credit Report for (7) seven years, (even if it's a Voluntary Repossession) than Lone Mountain or the Finance Company will most likely sell the truck at Auction and you will be billed the difference from the amount the truck sold for at Auction vs. what you owed on the truck.

They can take you to Court and get a Judgement against you for the difference owed and use the Judgement to put a Lien on your Property, Bank Accounts, etc. or any Assets you own.

They can also get a Court Order to Garnish your wages at any Employer you wind up working for in the future.

The best bet is find a Driver to drive the truck or find a Buyer to take over the payments.

I would also suggest that you call the Finance Company and see what your options are, if any.

What is the year, make, model and mileage of your truck?

Good luck, get on a proper diet and exercise regime and your blood pressure will drop, hope you get well.

If you turn the truck in the most is a mark on your credit report/file, it would cost more to go to court than to resale truck & move on. I'm sure this would not be the first time they've seen that before. Best thing to do is call them make them aware of the situation I'm sure they will work with.

There are Creditors that will take a Debtor to Court for as little as a few hundred dollars, so a Debtor shouldn't guess-timate on what they might or might not do.

The most is a negative mark on your Credit Report for (7) seven years, if you don't care about your Credit then it's just another day in life.

If you do, then it's better to seek alternative options, which the #1 focus for the OP is to get his BP down so he can continue to work and live a healthier life.

I would be more worried about my health...never mind any liens on my property or bad credit.
