Question for the day? Heading to Seattle from Central Idaho tomorrow evening.... Lost Trail and Lookout pass to Snoqualmie, or chicken out and run i84 to Portland and up? 8-12 " on Snoqualmie forecast for tomorrow.
Decisions, decisions.... -
Why would you go that way? 84 to 82 to 90 is a quicker route that's better maintained.Long FLD Thanks this.
-
3-6 inches forecasted for the Columbia River Gorge, from 2am to 2pm Monday, your dealing with it either way. In Hood River now, trying to snow already here.
-
Snoqualmie would be my guess
-
84 is a mess. Chain law at Burnt River Canyon, Meacham, Ladd, Pleasant Valley and several other icy spots before Pendleton where it gets better like normal. Almost 200 miles of sketchy road conditions tonight on that stretch.
-
He'd be going across Snoqualmie either way.Long FLD Thanks this.
-
oh .. looked like 84 to 5
-
Meh. You're right. Thats kinda way out of the way, not to mention he'd be chaining across 84, more snow on the way for eastern Oregon tomorrow. At this point, if you're going to be on 90, 84, 20, etc, have your iron ready. It's a non stop snow storm.dca Thanks this.

I'd much rather chain up on Snoqualmie for the 9 miles than the 60+ miles I was chained on today.
Lepton1 Thanks this.
