Yeah the water pipe would work....Got a picture of one fixed like that? No, I'm not having receive issues. I say that because of how far away I can hear the truck stop chatter when approaching W. Memphis. I'm hearing skip good also.
-
I get tons of skip..I live in novascotia canada and have gotten skip down as far as Florida,Mississippi..I could be travelling on tch 20 east leaving quebec city quebec and #### chat with guys in sc yet most times i lose guys in another truck 3-5 mi away....Im llst flr ideas..
-
I was actually thinking about doing that a week and a half or so ago. Shouldn't be reflective, and I can stand the thing up a bit straighter.
-
As for losing trucks 3-5 miles away...remember, it could be (is likely) their setup doing that, not yours.
I watched a guy in a Cascadia, using the stock antennas with a stock radio, go from pegging me when he was right beside me down to S-3 in 1/4 mile.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
He probably had his radio tweaked at Wolfman CB shop.
-
Here we go..Someone gotta start up crap..
jbee Thanks this. -
I see that all the time in our company trucks!rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Mike..Nope no pics of the set up with a waterpipe(pvc stuff)..I saw it mentioned on a cb forum and it seems like a great idea..
-
With the pvc support would you fill the end with silicone to keep the pvc from cutting into the antenna as antenna vibrates or sways a little?
