Why would you think we need your servces?

All of us will need brokers until the shippers/customers get on the ball and start employing their own logistics departments. As Carriers, we just do not have the time to keep soliciting customers, doing credit checks ect, to keep our trucks rolling! I WILL agree with you, as a whole, IF and When the customers get into the new age of the internet, hire the right staff, brokers will become a thing of the past. Which will be a great thing for all,, the customer, carriers, and the general public. With technology as it is today, there is no reason for basically any customer to employ the services of a broker/middleman.
However, I will again be honest with you, I have customers that have "logistics" people in place, but, they are what I call "9-5ers",, simply put, they don't do their job, period. They are on salaries, they come in, do "their best", leave and forget all about their companies needs and go home, and absolutely DO NOT answer their phones when they leave, along with not giving 2 sH**s if that hot load moves or not......... So, until every customer gets the mindset along with the 21st century technology, we as carriers need brokers if we want to be able to load after 5pm, load out on the weekends, along with dealing with problems (I know, you say problems?? LOL) after hours.. Good brokers will answer their phones 24/7 365, IF they want to stay in business.

I am not lying to you when I said "even the big carriers" use brokers. I have loaded most of top 10 largest carriers, they are in my database and active carriers. Mercer, England, US Express, Swift, TMC, and the list goes on,,,,,,, basically at this point it is impossible for even those companies to fulfill "needs" for their trucks/or/drivers, the biggest reason (I believe) is due to needing to get trucks through the house for emergencies, special occasions, etc.

good answers, I cant lie, You certainly have the knowledge in place, My apologies to you for getting out of hand.

And your probably wondering why I have so much Hatred towards them.....

Just too many bad experiences, Yes,I cant lie I use Brokers for my return hauls assuming my customers dont have inbound material......

i just Hate being lied too, it gets to you after a while, I can throw out to you a small handful of brokers and forwarders that i have had good results with, Not many though...

Federal logistics- A plus and honest
JMC group- Major 3pl for the steel manufacturers(not a broker)
Worldwide logistics- Fair But they take an honest 6% on spot freight(common)

Well, Best to you and yours................

No apologies necessary, we all have been battling the bad brokers (and low ball carriers) for ever since de-reg!! The good thing though is that most of the bad brokers are on the way side, if new ones come in they are nixed very quick due to the great communication between everyone, as for the cheap carriers, well,,LOL,, as you know we read about them daily in the bankruptcy news LOL..... Have a great one sir, and Happy Holidays for sure, and if you are up to fishing, hit me up!!!! :)

Broker Bob...You stated "My way or the highway"and "You provide capacity".......If thats the Case, Why would people want to use you?
you still haven't answered my question.

We all know how you like to 'get down' And you make it sound like owner-ops have no choice.

why give up 10-40% on a Load just to get it from you? As if the trucking community has little choice

You guys provide a somewhat service from a shippers point of view,,,...Sorry, But provide absolutely no benefit to us carriers. Except for lazy carriers with no desire to secure their own customers
..Why in Gods name would I RELY on you and lose an average of 25% of valuable profit annually? Stupid if you ask me. I cringe everytime I load my truck back with you guys cause I know im leaving $$$ on the table....I know I know, "Then dont use brokers" I try my hardest not to.

Be waiting for your next utterance
