We all know about them. Always coming up to you at a truckstop asking for gas or food or anything else money. I found to be the best way to get them moving on is to say I'm running on 3 credit cards. Any other tips or tricks?

I just say no. If I see them coming to my truck, I start shaking my head as they approach. Works every time. !

That's what I do...tell them I've got a company credit card and they pay for my stuff in the road and take it out of my check. They just huff off to the next truck.
Except for the lizard in syracuse at the pilot who has a card reader she plugs in her iPhone lol she called my bluff
Thought quick on my feet though and told her her I didn't think my company would appreciate seeing a charge to crack ###### r us lol she failed to see the humor in itLast edited: Dec 23, 2015

I look them in the eye and walk right past without saying anything. I already have a charity I support. My family. Lol

I say " funny you should ask I am broke too I was just fixing to ask you if you had any spare money for me" If they say something like "how do you buy fuel, etc" I say "I have a company card that I can only use for certain things and the company reviews the bill but I don't have any cash and I need some for some beer and smokes."
hunted and scottlav46 Thank this. -
I let my beard do the talking. They don't even approach me, for the most part.
I might give a glare to the ones that are genuinely lazy. The ones with "Need Gas" signs, cellphones, nicer clothing. Nobody should ever drive without money for fuel. lazy.White_Knuckle_Newbie Thanks this. -
I reach in my pocket and give em' some cash so they dont put a whooping on me.
GAlanFink Thanks this.
