they've been cutting back on overtime lately but with being able to work the dock and drive you can really push a lot of overtime.

it would be interesting to know how many barns have driver/dock/switcher/yard combination and which are drivers and then dock workers separate. theyre trying to get us (DE) to vote out combination currently from what I understand while they ramp up towards building a new garage and expanding the terminal so there are more dock doors on the south end.

I knew that just wasn't sure... I used to work for Yellow on the dock before the merger... I live about 5 miles from the Chicago heights terminal

I never understood...even when I was a Teamster...why any hard working union member would vote Dem at all....Sure maybe back when JFK was president but now the heads and president of the Teamsters are nothing but DC lobbyists and screw the working folks.

Pensions are separated from the rest of the companies money and protected, I really can't see how this is happening, If the Union isn't addressing this go over your local, something wrong. I've been hearing about the YRC money probs for a while now, but when I've taked to ABF, UPS, numerous other local Teamster companies their not having issues. Grated their different pension funds but still. Your shop steward and local leadership need to have their ### handed to them, is this not being brought up at your meetings?

So everyone should pay to save YOUR pension , and not fix SS? Who has a chip on their shoulder? You expect the taxpayers to bail the Union out? You trusted the wrong people.
