As much as it sucks to chain every 45 seconds, it is good to see winter returning to the west.

Hhaha, i was wearing pants lol. Might as well just worn boxers with wet pants though.

I've watched youtube videos on how to chain before...thats about it. First attempt failed so I took a break to collect myself and the second time was a success. The hardest part was all the slush and cold snow that surrounded the wheels.

My chains held strong all the way over donner. The interstate was littered with chains that fell off other trucks. So im glad they didnt fall off at least.

I was not prepared at ALL. No snow boots, thermals, gloves, etc... Learned my lesson.

Those super single chains here pretty heavy considering im not a big guy.

    Big Don Thanks this.

Just reading some articles. Lake Tahoe got over 6 billion gallons of water in 24 hours and the snowpack levels in California are way above average. As of December 15, Snoqualmie got 77" of snow for the year. All last year, it got 104". So I'd say we're doing pretty good, I hope the winter is good for us.

Winter, the season that brings out the inner demon in any truck driver.
I've been dealing with this garbage out here in eastern NM and west TX now for the past three-plus years.
The only people that seem to get excited about it are the ones that don't actually have to work in it.

The rest of us have to keep ourselves from wanting to give those over-enthusiastic weather fanatics a taste of iced lemonade.
If we get any more of the garbage in the Panhandle that's expected during the weekend, I'm cutting it short a little sooner and heading back into security land.
