I bought it from a dealer
-
??? Is the stock cam in a 5EK the same as a 6NZ ??
-
No. The profile and parameters are a bit different than 6nz.

You need to call the main PDI office in Utah and tell them what is going on and what engine you have.
-
it is if done right.
-
it is the injectors. the lobe on the "800 cams" is steep and if your injectors are not "perfect" it will show with these cams. some engines run fine with them. why? I don't know. the pdi cams are cat cams like smokin cat said. if it is a reground one from cat that maybe a issue. a while ago cat was regrinding the lobes incorrectly causing issues. I ran a "800hp" cam in one of my engines and it ran great. swapped it to another engine and had the famous studder. same program as the first. ended up goimg back to the stock cam. issue disappeared! there used to be a boy on here that could explain it better than me. but you have to go to another site to contact him.
