I'm about to get out of the marine corps after 8 years and am looking at tmc transportation. I am color blind but I always pass the red green yellow test. My question is will this disqualify me from tmc? Anyone that is or has been with tmc that can answer would be great thanks.

When I was at TMC they did not have any vision test aside from reading the chart on the wall. As long as you can pass a DOT physical, then why would you even tell TMC your color blind? Is it noted on your license? There doctor does not do any test to determine if you color blind and as long as you can see the difference between red and green, then why should it matter.

That being said. TMC is a great choice and they really love ex military drivers. They will be getting a whole new fleet of truckas and will be offering stock to drivers.

No it's not noted on my license I was told I was color blind when I first joined the military because I can only pass the traffic light test. When they show me that book I can't see a thing besides bubbles.

New fleet of trucks what are they getting? If you don't me asking g why aren't you still there?

I don't see the color blind thing being a problem because its not a big deal and they love x military. They are buying all new pete 579's with bunk heater and 20 inch tvs. 9 speed trans...built in Serios (you pay subscription). They currently run mostly 379's with 13 speed (they show you how to drive a 13)

I left becuase i made so much money with then that i could afford my own truck out of pocket. I bought my own rig and became an O/O. As a company driver they are a great choice and if you work hard you can make a lot of green

It was when i left lol. I'm pretty sure it is though. Make sure you choose the % pay plan since its far better then the per mile. On the % pay I made around .48 per mile starting out.

Not color blind I see all colors just can't pass the dot test. I only pass the one where they show individual colors
