oH mY gAwD bow down too Pat Quinn. National Truck Drivers appreciation
Week!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A WHOLE WEEK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOsh, what a great fella !!!!!!!!!
Did he hand out turkeys and a free T-shirt with US Xpress logo also ? :laughing5:

Not going to google when National Truck Drivers appreciation week is. A company appreciates it's drivers every week paying a great wage, US xpress doesn't do that.

Bye Bye US Express! A truck driver took out a Bridge on I-5 in washington state and no died but the company went out of buissness because of the lawsuit against them by the state. Five people died. Imagin the cost factor for that. Prison time for the driver, Also look at Dick simon trucking one crazy driver rams the state capital in California and in six months Dick simon is out of business.
US Express is going to be a faded memory.

Tragic accident. 1 driver can break a company. I'd wager US Express goes bye bye and some other carrier pops up in its place.

That did happen, but this is several different families. One thing is for sure, things will probably change for the drivers.

They're saying the at-fault trucker was fired once before for falling asleep at the wheel and crashing

Pat Quinn is dead. Fuller is probably flying his helicopter to his golf courses while a good majority if usx drivers are seriously discontent. I've seen it firsthand, it's a lot worse than swift.

That's not going to work in court. The first driver had nothing to do with the USX WRECK. USX lawyers will probably argue
actus Reus non facit, which implies 'conviction of a crime requires proof of criminal intent'.

Yes but the son is running the company. Also my guess is that with revenues of 1.4 billion this is just a drop in the bucket.

Disagree. They will continue the downward spiral. They have many p & g accounts but I'm certain this is garnering a lot of attention among the big decision makers of Fortune 500 co. That use usx

I couldn't agree more. The miles for the OTR drivers have fallen, and they keep OTR running in the northeast until they are blue in the face and threaten to quit. Then they give us a break, but it's like a bad dream, it continues again after a brief time away. The team drivers are not happy either. I know they are refusing loads because the miles are not good. The entire company is like a nightmare to work for. They're even firing operations; first it was Lexington, NC, recently it was Jacksonville, FL. And they just recently closed Austell, GA, making it a drop yard, merging the shop into Ellenwood. But instead of opening new terminals, they are closing them. That makes for drivers waiting upward of 5 days for semi annual truck maintenance. That's what it took me in November at Springfield, OH.
