i15 CARB coop open?

Well when it comes to this I think you are on the front line. I now own a 2016 truck so I am not worried. It seems (if I read your post right) that your conversion backfired? I might have read that wrong.

The inspection station is not for CARB inspections per se. This is a port of entry facility scale house managed and operated by the CHP.
Talk around Primm is first of the new year for legal issues regarding some new rules and regulations.

 

The overhead signs say SMOKE CHECK CIRCLE AROUND BACK.

That scale is most certainly set up for CARB.

It's going to be a more speedier scale, also. The signs say 10 mph. Not the usual 3 mph at all the other scales. The empty lanes are 20 mph. Not the usual 5 mph.

I don't know how the AG check fits in to the grand scheme of things, though.

 

Tests are performed by ARB inspection teams at border crossings, CHP weigh stations, fleet facilities, and randomly selected roadside locations.

The POE on I-15 is not "per se" a CARB inspection station. Inspections will take place at that location when inspection staff from the ARB are available but the primary function of the station is inbound scales.

 

They've yet to write a ticket. The first time they do, that's when that stuff wI'll be the defense evidence.

 

And who's to say ARB won't be manning that CHP station 24/7????

 

Again you are a company man. What do you care? You are not writing checks to upgrade or replace equipment to be compliant. It's not costing you a nickel.
