Gross Pay? Company driver

24 years experience, 80k delivering groceries. All no touch, home everyday.

 

This is my first year and I'm on track to bring in 60-65k with Fedex ground working 4.5 days a week on a dedicated run.

As for R+L's pay I'm not too sure as I've never actually seen a pay stub but I've heard it's decent. I could be wrong, hearsay is always iffy. Especially with drivers.

 

That's a #### good gig haha I'd like to get somewhere like that eventually.
How are the bennies?
Downside to FedEx Ground is no insurance.

 

MLS. will start you over $75k and you can be home every night. They are all over the central US with great equipment. I retired there but wish I found it first as they will take you right out of school, after a few local runs with other guy, on your own making bank and sleeping in your bed,

F that OTR if you can avoid it, it's a horrible life and unnecessary nowadays.

Make your money and be home every night, it's out there even for newbs!!

 

What is MLS ?

 

It's a union job, free insurance, pension, 401(k), vacation, etc. It works very well for me, some folks run when they hear the word Teamster. There's money to be made in this industry, the key is finding what works for YOU as an individual.

If you live near one of their terminals from MI to AL and more, and you're not making bank and seeing your family everyday, you have to talk to them.

 

MLS does a lot of Honda-related work in my neck of the woods.

 

Just checked them out. I live almost exactly 1 hour from 3 of their terminals and I don't think I've ever seen one of their trucks haha

 

Plus they have small yards all over, may even be a closer one not in list as some drop lots are like terminals. Finding out costs nothing! Let us know!!
