They almost look like the wrong size.

I was thinking they were 24.5s too but. Doesn't look like they were tightened at all starting from th little moons to the hook. You could see where the hook should be he has a bungee holding it.

you can put larger size chains on, it just takes some creativity to bungee up the loose ends. This guy never even dropped a link.

Cams are for tightening. the only use for bungees is tying up loose ends.

I like that attitude. It makes it easier for the ones that have work to do to get it done with all you guys park. But seriously, I feel bad for you oversize guys when you're in North Bend for a week waiting to go. Or LaGrande. I couldn't sit around like that.

I'm still aching from all that hunching and dragging and lifting (wide base single chains are heavy!). I guess I just need to face the fact that I ain't as good as I once was.

Those look like the new Pewag chains made in Pueblo, I have a set on my truck, they are nice, very HD, BUT, they are missing a cross link, about those are, we had to add an extra cross link, IIRC Pewag is going to do a redesign. Also, the chains are a little "loose" fitting than other chains are I've noticed.

By my calculations, I'll chain up at least 3 times between when I leave Denver Sunday afternoon and when I get back Tuesday afternoon

They are just loose. Where that big space is. Is where he was suppose to pull it up and link the inside of the drive as far up as he could then the front. And you can see he just hooked the front hook to the chain it's self then he took the loose links where the hook is suppose to go and he hooked a bungee up to it.
