usx maintain their trailers just fine IF the drivers would report them when something is wrong instead of running them till the wheels fall off..... you sound like that kind of driver.....

you want to blame the company for not fixing things when they are not told by the drivers it's broken...??
every trailer I get that needs repairs I make 1 call and it gets fixed....

This past Thursday,I saw the first brand new trailer I've seen in over a decade. Didn't recognize it at first, it was new and said US Express. Max Fuller is a sleeze bag anyway.

Agreed. They will do the very minimum to get away with.

Agreed. I for one did the right thing and got a trailer Insp. And it cost me 3 days of pay. The trailers are so f'ed up that it ends up being more than one issue with passing inspection. This comes from personal experience

I've pulled the new Wabash trailers out of Lafayette IN, twice. They are nice. But USX is not getting the 150 trailers a month they told the drivers. They are only getting about 75. I heard this was because of delivery problems.

My miles were good up until around September. Then they fell off drastically and I was sitting a lot. A lot of drivers report the same.

Huge? Sorry but I have to "top that". I had (2) WHEELS fall off a 7 series trailer last weekend, going 65 mph on the interstate. Loaded with 45K of beer. Lucky the trailer didn't roll over/jackknife. Only saving grace was the beer was loaded over the nose mostly.

But here's the kicker. Sat from Saturday morning 1030 AM to 2 AM Monday morning until the roadside assistance came. They chained my rear axel and told me to follow them 22 miles to the shop to transpower the beer. What was the RIGHT thing to do? For USX to have the trailer towed, not to expect the driver to drag a 45K trailer with only 6 wheels down the interstate. I went 20 mph at 3AM and got it there safely. For free. The cheap ######## paid me NOTHING for that.

Of course. They FIND WAYS NOT TO PAY DRIVERS. Did you know that if you drive within 50 miles of your home, and you stay out 30 days, you had better call your FM to make sure you get your BONUS pay? The GPS flags you as having gone home, and unless your FM fixes it, you will be ripped off on your pay. They don't tell you that, do they? Because they look for ways NOT TO PAY DRIVERS!
