I'd take the whole gov apart and look at it. Maybe the rack is hanging up. Make sure all the oil passages are clear.
I found some plastic pvc and a rubber hose in my tank that shut my engine down by blocking the supply tube in one tank and ran the other tank dry! How it got in there I'll never know.

Can you remove the housing with the pump in the truck? And is it difficult to do?
-
Well the trucks running full power again. I drained the water separater, took the AFC apart and put a new diaphragm in and clean it and made sure the rod that goes in to the pump was moving freely, which it wasn't moving very easily before cleaning. And after about 15 miles pulling my load last night had full power again. And still have the power after delivering the load.
-
There's a screen inside the water separator. Did you take that apart and clean the fuel screen? That would cause fuel issue/restriction. I clean mine whenever I change oil.
-
I don't think my filter/water separater has a screen in it. What kind of filter do you run?
-
If you have a screw on type then you have a newer one which I think is better, because you can just change the filter. Mine is bolted and has a hard canister around a screen inside. The screen is removable and you manually clean it out. If yours has a little plug at the bottom and screws on then it's a different type. Better in my opinion
-
Yes I have the screw on type similar to the secondary filter which sits on the block. But with the plug at the bottom like you said for draining
-
Cool, yeah then you did right drain that sucker and buy a new filter whenever you get a chance. Do you think you got the problem or are you driving around just waiting for it to hickup again?
-
I feel like its straightened out. Its been running straight longer than it ever has. I appreciate all the help and knowledge shared
-
Sweet, I just wanted you to get it running right. It was kind of a weird issue being intermittent like that.
