How do you reset the soot level and ash level. I did a complete cleaning of EGR and AFTERTREATMENT system, including replacing every sensor and doser, and burned out dpf and doc but the soot and ash guage is in the same spot it was before I did everything. I asked dealer and they said those two level indicators don't mean anything to them.

You can't reset it yourself. Only the soot level can be, but has to be done thru VCADs. Dealer level. If you had a dealer do it they should have done at least a service regen or a preferably a crystal sublimination. If so no need to reset as either will do of during the cycle. There is no ash level monitor. Soot level is monitored via the dpf delta p sensor. During the course of driving it will also reset after a couple drive cycles anyway. If you cleaned the egr cooler as well the egr delta p reads that and resets itself anyway. If they programmed with VCADs 2 it does a learned data reset during programming, if they are still using the old VCADs they have to dova manual reset. Either way it's really inconsequential as the system will eventually do it by itself.

mine has ash level gauge and soot level gauge. I was standing there and saw him reset a bunch of things when they did regen after dpf clean. I'm talking about the two level indicators that I can bring up on my message display where your mileage and fuel economy is. both are horizontal line graphs with an arrow on the bottom that should move sideways depending on the level. mine has never moved

To be honest, don't even worry about them. Reason one, the truck will do passive regens when it needs to, and two, you can't do an active (parked) regen until the system says you need to. You don't just park for the night and do a regen before bed. As long as the DPF differential pressure sensor is working then you will be fine. The gage you are referring to doesn't give accurate readings from what I have seen. The thing you need to monitor is the temperatures during the regen. Not getting hot enough usually is an issue with the 7th ink or hydrocarbon Doser module. Over temps can be face plugging etc. The ash you can't do anything with anyway. There should be very little ash. There isn't a sensor I know of that can monitor ash as any accumulation will blow thru the dpf and sit in the ash pan. Ash is lightweight and will mix in with the urea then proceed into the scr and chemically disappear into water and ammonia vapor.
