Snake radio customs in Arizona is the best. Had him do a few radios throughout the years and does clean work.
Stay away from "CB store" in Fontana, ca. Guy is a total noob and charges wayyyy to much (probably because of lack of business). I brought this guy a perfectly good working radio just so he can check my other guys work. He ended up stripping the screws that hold the case. Stay away from this shop. Total ####tard.

Tim refuses to use a scope or spectrum analyzer. Can't recommend him for tuning because of this. He is good for repair and restoration work though.

If you want the absolute best, look up Mark Sherman at Fine Tune CB shop. Some will argue otherwise, but they won't be able to back that argument up with anything factual.
slim6596, rabbiporkchop and Nitemare13 Thank this. -
If youre ever by the Sapp Bros in Percival, IA....there's a guy advertising on the CB there. I don't know anything about him....but if you're there....you could check him out and ask some questions.
Nitemare13 Thanks this. -
Most of the guys at Cb Radio Store in Fontana are clueless, but Ron Damron who only works part time on Saturdays has his electronics engineering degree hanging on the wall and does very good work within the limitations of his bench.

Bells CB. Just got my cobra 29 lx with an echo board, peak and tune, receive mod, and rfx 150 and it is a beast. from my reports all I get is "that is a hell of a radio". He's honest and does quality work.

Again Bells Cb does not have the proper test equipment to tune a radio. Pay close attention to his videos and you will see what I'm talking about. but all the guys who like over modulated distorted sounding splatter boxes will give you compliments if you get work done there and they will tell you it's the best sounding radio they ever heard.
Here's one of his typical hack jobs. Actually he has a scope but he doesn't have any clue how to use it. He's been told many times by many people to show us a perfect waveform on his scope but since he doesn't have any understanding of how to use that piece of equipment he simply has it just for show. Avoid any shop that focuses on a meter showing you wattage without showing you a perfect waveform on an oscilloscope because that means absolutely nothing.americanmadetrucker Thanks this. -
Anybody who refuses to show you something like what you see in this picture or someone who lacks the capability to show you what you see in this picture is someone you should probably avoid at all costs.
slim6596 and darthanubis Thank this. -
I'm in Carlisle now. Wheres his shop? Or does he monitor a certain channel?

David bupp is at exit 52 behind a gas station on the west side of the interstate. He only does good work on small radios. If you got an amplifier I don't recommend his work for now but he does great work on Connex 3300 and galaxy 99 and Cobra radios.
darthanubis Thanks this.
