That's what I'm saying. I did it no more than 2 months ago. It still doesn't display the truck speed but my unit is 3 years old and simply may not be capable I don't know.

I think the Rand POI DB is the best feature. You want to search for a TS that has showers or laundry, last load was a COD and you need a FedEx drop box, or just washed the truck and want a paved parking lot. Really nice for trip planning.
-
This thing not only tells you what's coming ahead of you but gives you the opportunity to detour around accidents that it sees ahead. Also can keep HOS if you want to double your paperwork load (I have Peoplenet so I don't need to do this,... I am always in the sleeper berth, hahaha.). Advises you of curves, weigh stations, changes in speed limit (about .5 miles before you get there) and construction/congestion.
IF you haven't already purchased a GPS, I strongly recommend this one.
Oh... it has bluetooth as well and voice command recognition so you can actually tell it some of the pre-programmed instructions it provides as well as do hand's free phone conversations.
One more thing (as if that isn't enough). Fuel stations, parking availability, showers, trip planning and many many more features are available. Too many to list, actually.Captain Zoom Thanks this. -

This is still valid on AZ-93
US-93 between I-40 and US-60 is not STAA -
It probably never wiill be, due to trucks not being allowed on us60. somewhere past morristown i think it is.
-
you know that US-93 in AZ is both an NHS and STRAHNET listed road.
part of why boulder city got shut down on trying to stop trucks from running that way. -
The only thing they covered, and oh so briefly, in my CDL Classes was the National Network.
Thanks in advance for the additional info. -
STRAHNET
https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/policy/2004cpr/chap18.cfm
National Network is usually your STAA roads - (53'/102") trailers.
Some US/State routes allow STAA trailers and some are restricted to Non-STAA trailers - 48'/96"MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.
