I drive for Shaffer, but not on the NE Regional fleet, so I have no clue what it entails. I hope someone who is on it comes along to answer your questions. Have you talked with a recruiter? They may not be totally truthful about time off and the like (because when you get down to it, dispatch wants the freight delivered), but they might give you an idea...

Yea i talked to Todd i think ..He said .50 CPM and home every week..or weekend . All the trucks now have cameras in there i hear ?is that true ? more and more companies are doing this.. it's like annoying ..no privacy ..This company in NJ called White arrow i went in last week for road test and drug test and as i was doing the road test i see a camera looking at me..that was the end for that company .loll

not all trucks have cameras, in fact most don't.
When I was there most shippers were drop and hook but most receivers were live unload.
I was OTR but Northeast a lot though.

NFI Industries might work for you. Haven't read anything about them having driver facing cameras.

Since your post is from FEB. my recommendation may be moot.

To the OP, get a local job for Island transportation and haul fuel locally. Or get in with one of the good end dump companies. And try moving to new jersey.

I was just made an offer from Shaffer for the Northeast Regional. I grew up in PA and have lived in New England for 20 years now. I can’t wait to get started!

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Congrats! Might look into them since they pay the same as when I was running tanker for Schneider but with more miles. Man cant live on ~1200 mile weeks.

Schneider was my second choice on a dedicated regional. I’m really happy with the choice I’m making to go with Shaffer. Looks like I’ll start training two weeks from tomorrow. I should know more information tomorrow.

I'm currently getting my employment verified but I decided to pick the dryvan side. If everything goes through, Wilmer,TX will be my orientation location. Will see how the miles are like and see from the reefer guys if it's worth the 3 more cents to transfer.

I worked so many cdl jobs that it will take a bit to verify. This current job I'm on took 1 week to get all the verification done so hoping they don't have to much time.
