i have read other threads about this, but I don't think those methods will work with the swift Qualcomm.
So if I go off-duty, and a few hours later I am forced to move the truck 5 miles, how can this be done without breaking the consecutive off-duty break?
This question is specific to the current swift Qualcomm settings they are using.
I know I can roll at 5mph without it putting me into driving, but I can't really crawl down the road at that speed.
Any specific instructions on how to do this would be really helpful. I'm currently at a Costco and I'm thinking they are going to make me move.

Log driver out.
Or
Stop every 3 minutes and switch status back to off.
Not sure if it works for off.... And there have been changes the past few weeks.
When I drop my MT at warehouse I do my post, but then we have to drive bobtail down the street and around the block to park.
Up until a month ago we could make it the whole way, switch back to post, and go off.
Now I have to come to complete stop at every turn and switch it. -
After the new changes there really is not much you can do as far as that goes anymore.

You can find the main computer and unplug it(the power cable is the "vga monitor" looking cable with the 2 lock screws),drive your 5 miles and plug it back in. If you don't feel comfortable unplugging it , do a hard restart on the machine, start driving while it's shutting down and by the time it comes back up you will be 5 miles down the road as it takes a while to reboot.. Just realize that the Qualcomm syncs with the Hub odometer via trip computer so if anybody was to look at you with a magnifying glass they would realize you moved the truck while logged "off duty" no matter what you do..

Oh the joys of ELDs, lol.
Can't you just unplug the stupid thing so you can finish the day without errors? -
Suffer and learn your lesson ... why, you're taking a 34 beside the point - why in gawds name take one at Costco or Walmart? ... no showers or laundry.
NavigatorWife and ttyson Thank this.
