Most likely you have you have the Meritor system attached is the service manual with inspection info. Pay attention to section 3 has the procedure for determining wear.

Main reason for changing calipers is water intrusion.

How big a difference is there? How much is left on your pads?
Are there cracks in your disks?

From what u read and YouTubed you can change the pads ur self. Not sure about the rotor and caliper. Iirc fie iads it's a 9 mm or was it 10 mm socket, screwdriver and 8 min if your time. Course you have to get the wheel off first

^This. Some big truck shops will try to take as much money from a trucker as BrakeMasters will from a soccer mom with a Caravan.

You may have different wear between the outside and inside pad. The outside tends to drag along the rotor a bit since the caliper does not entirely release pressure on the pad. Switching them from inside to out and vize versa is usual and extends livespan. Otherwise the outside would be down while the inner is still good.

I've seen quite a few trucks with discs and will confirm that the pads are usually worn unevenly from inside and outside. Changing rotors is a big PITA since they are bolted to the back of the hub. So you have to do wheel seals, axle flange gaskets, ect. Hopefully not find worn bearings while you tear it down. The biggest problem with calipers is that since they don't have a slack adjuster their adjustment is internal, and can sometimes freeze. The manual says if you break two shear adapters than the caliper needs replaced.
