This being my first year as Owner operator ,I have been purchasing my healthcare through my wife's employment and I have not been deducting the monthly cost.I thought I read where I could not deduct it even if I did not go through her being as it is available from her employer.I was wondering if anyone else is in this situation.

if you filed jointly, yes. If you file separately, no, I don't think so.
but if you are paying for it separately from hers, then yes. I imagine you would have to file jointly or separately and just include it as a mutual cost of healthcare -
I am going to assume your wife has her insurance held out of her paycheck. IF that is the case it is held out before taxes, so you can not claim it again. That is my case, but check with your accountant.

That's only for non-pre-taxed insurance by employer or if they had non through employer but, did through third party.

His portion is most likely not subsidized by her employer.
