Same with me. She calls it child support, I call it her car payment.

    Yes.
12 or older, but not during the winter months.
And I have to pay extra for insurance, but it's less than $30 per month.

Luana and Leann have both spent 2 summers with me. And yes, very cool. They loved every minute.
My youngest, Lorelei, just turned 12. The next couple summer vacations are hers on the truck.

Lol. I love that name. Lorelei. Beautiful. I would love to take mine with me but knowing they're mine, I can't imagine the adventures they'll put me through....

That's very true. I got laid off from a good job about 5 years into paying mine and being a very rural county there just weren't any comparable jobs available. I petitioned the court to revisit the amount after I had to take a job paying 30% less than what I made before.

Judge said that wasn't his problem. That I couldn't pay my bills much less the amount I was supposed to pay was not his problem. I would continue to 'support her in the manner to which she was accustomed' and I needed to keep looking for another job until I was 'earning a comparable salary to what my historical potential was'

Never mind there was only one good employer in the county and they just laid off half the plant.....and he knew it.

It wasn't lost on me that not once did he mention the kids that I was paying child support for. He only mentioned her.

Well, first, I wasn't talking to you. But...

Second, I care. I love time with my girls.

Third. I also thought Lorelei was a beautiful name.
I had to think hard for it, however.
The first two were a combination of Duane and Leah, but with the third daughter I ran out of ideas.
But it had to start with L.
And it had to be a bit dangerous as well, but I didn't know why at the time.

It had to start with L because I have had so many L women in my life.
I eventually thought it fitting that any daughter of mine would have an L name.

Laura, my sister. I list her first because we are the only 2 left in that family.
    Louise, my mother.
    Lena, my brothers wife.
    Linda, my first wife.
    Leah, my last wife.

All 3 are daughters with Leah. We only made females.
They are all very smart, but Lorelei is scary smart.
That girl runs rings around the older kids, and she is a year ahead in school.
And she pounds into the ground her older sisters, even though she is dainty.
She also is very empathic... she feels what others feel. I learned that about her when she was only 2 years old.
    A true siren, she is.

My son, Aidan, he's 9 and severely autistic. Doesn't talk and all that. But EXTREMELY smart. I've never seen anything like it. He won't talk or use the potty, but the kid has everything figured out before you realize there's a problem. Some kids just are amazing.

That is a great benifit to have. My company has a strict no rider policy. I would love to take my son with me, even for a day.

It seems that they will only adjust the cost to you in the vertical direction.

I had a nice arrangement with my ex.
I paid her what the court first decided on, and would help her as much as I could if she needed more.
That was after I got this job.

Last year the court decided to re-evaluate, and I am now paying more than twice as much.
I have much less to work with now. I still do what I can.

But a father saying he can't afford it right now just doesn't cut it.
    They want blood, and now!
There is no sympathy for the dad, no matter what, because the dad is always the bad guy.
