Why do you keep posting random pics that don't pertain to anything?

82k last year. Have between 28 and 32 hours left on my 70 each week. Normally 68 hours off duty on the weekends. Ltl world. 100% drop and hook. Can make much more money if necessary

I say: work smarter not harder - unless you really need the extra money.
The high paying jobs are very long hours or physically challenging or risky - or all of the above.

I have considered all the options we have read above - if oil booms again then maybe I'd do that. Having done the math, it looks like 50% more work for 15% more money plus extra stress and risk.

I like my very easy job that gives me plenty of down time. Not in the Hundred-Thousand-Club over here but can still put $25K/year in savings with a little discipline. If I was younger, then might try something harder or riskier.

My thinking is "long-haul". I don't want to get injured or loose my licence to accidents in high risk areas. Maybe I'm a wuss but once you got a good thing going, it may be wise to think long and hard about adding complications or taking chances.

People should post which company they work for like I have done, isn't that the point of this thread? Or are we supposed to unzip our fly and whip it out and say mine is longer than a Louisville slugger. Especially the guys saying they're making the big bucks

1st year back in trucking I ran mostly with Swift, made $42K OTR

2nd year with Swift did team dedicated for 6 months and switched to training for the second half, did $62K

Finishing out my third year, left Swift to run flatbed to the oil fields in May, should be around $72K

Next year I want to buy my own truck.

If you want to know, you can research my previous posts, or simply ask in a PM.

Also,'big bucks' means different things to different people. Some people think $200/week in their pocket is the best thing ever.

Hey walstib do you know anything about Midwest logistics in London ky? I've been looking around and there just isn't that much info out there that I can find. I know they mostly run daycabs but I was wondering where they run to.

Do this to get his attention: @walstib
In Ohio they run around to all the suppliers for Honda and to the assembly plant itself. I'm guessing in KY the runs are probably between the Toyota suppliers and plants.

    walstib Thanks this.
