I heard by word of mouth they are changing the cdl testing to make it longer and more rigorous. At least here in new York anyways. This info came from an instructor who taught me but I don't remember word for word. But after you get your permit and finish your classes and logged a certain number of driving hrs the state Road test will take place over 4 hrs. Full pre-trip under hood, top to bottom and all around the rig. An oral exam followed by 1 hr of maneuvering and 1 full hr of driving. That might not sound like much but my Rd test lasted all of 40 minutes! 10 to 15 minutes for pre-trip and the the rest driving. I'll do some Google searching to see if I can find some info to verify this.

On the comment that she's makes the whole industry look bad, I think the guy who took a dump behind his tractor looks worse than this lady

I read the article. Judging by her intelligence it sounds like you could have fooled her with the old children's riddle! What weighs more? A ton of feathers or a ton of bricks? I'd bet my life savings she'd say a ton of bricks lol

I wonder if He got fired.

Interesting to note, the town of Horizon City, where my company terminal is, recently replaced the restricted road signs that read "Load Limit 8 Tons" to "Load Limit 16,000 lbs". Guess for that reason. I don't know.
