I don't think so unless the felony was involving a commercial vehicle not sure though

This has changed. I got a felony in 2010 and I told them about it. I got on with Celadon my first year (avoid if possible) and after I got my year experience I've been with Maverick.

Iron Horse out of New Town ND does...They are all tanker...Fresh water/production/flowback...

5 year old felony not that big of deal...7 is better as a lot of 3rd party background checking companies offer 1, 3, 7, 20, and lifetime checks..

When I passed 7, I never had an issue...One place wanted a written explanation of what went down...
All the bigs and megas all use 3rd party people, or services online...I wouldnt bother with them, they all suck anyways..

Id find a small co, or owner operator in the oilpatch....Look at ND's craigslist, its packed full of possibilities....
If you can talk face to face with an owner, thats best...If you dont appear a current criminal and appear a decent feller, you'll almost always be good....Id theres crap, a man will smell it...If theres no crap, he'll smell that too and probably hire you..Lots of men will cut you a break and not sweat it if your legit

Big companies dont care, they pay a fee, set a parameter, dont care who you are...And they all know theres 14 trillion new cdl's produced everyday, and most of them dont have felonies!!!

I appreciate you shane i am very close in the # of felonies but have since got my ####e together with my last being in 2009 and have been fortunate to come in to 5000.00 cash needed for school . my question is i have been on disability for 3.5 years i was burnt 3rd degree on 80% and was had bone grow in to elbows while in a coma for 4 months. am finishing up therapy from surgery to correct that problem and will be ready for work inb about 2 more months. with no work history for 4 years and felonies do i still have a chance?

I see that you are considering paying 5k for school. I wanted to speak on that and advise you to look into community college as an option and save yourself some cash and more than likely get a better more comphrehensive education. For instance the oldest school here in NC only costs 1075 and has a great reputation. I think that with CDL in hand you will be fine. The efforts that are required may be greater but somebody will hire u. Check out the Community College options. I almost spent that much until TTR and research opened my eyes to Community College.
