I try to hit the nicer " non hangout " rest areas or I usually will go right to the delivery and camp there instead of truck stops. by the time I stop most nights the t/s are packed anyway. also can get rolling real quick in the a.m. at rest areas. just pee and flee.....I am lucky , I run a lot of the same routes so you find out which ones to avoid.

I have had no trouble at truck stops at all. usually pretty calm. I guess it depends where you go.

I have great luck having a reefer pull in next to me when I am tying to sleep, never fails . or a tanker with refrigerated liquid nitrogen oxidizer instant death stuff with warning stickers all over it .try sleepin with that 4 feet from your head. but if your running your truck at night it drowns out most noises.

I try to fuel and shower during the day. most times the wait is minimal.

Stinky drivers are out there, most of the time you can spot em before you smell em and try to keep your distance,:biggrin_25513:

Only had 1 lot lizard wake me up. she had a real nice tooth.:biggrin_2551:

Usually dont socialize too much, watch a little tv and sleep and get going asap. not gonna make $$$ hanging out at the video games and telling stories with the other drivers . they are usually the ones complaining they arent making any money. go figure.

Shut down in Texas before 4pm.:biggrin_255:

In the Northeast? Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Other than that, you should always find something. Try to scope out Wal-Marts and keep a list.
