Is "full time", 40-hours a week, nothing more?

    Reaaally, well, that makes sense.

It was not a government job, I don't think. But just in western canada. But it makes sense for it to be like part time. I guess the only best way to go with trucking is to go straight to alberta.

I dunno if you've been following the economy lately but it's pretty dead there...

Well as compared to jobs in BC, Alberta still has alot to offer. The economy will pick up again, it's only a matter of time.

I'm in Alberta. 100,000 newly-unemployed and rising. There's a guy living in the parking garage of my apartment building. Collapse of wild-west unregulated petro-state. Permanent structural change in economy.

BC is not a good comparison. The BC economy consists of selling Vancouver to corrupt money-laundering Chinese Communist Party cadres in China and grow-ops in the Fraser Valley and basically nothing else. What Canadian citizen earning their income in Canada can even afford to live in BC?

I personally can't even image going back to a 40-44 hour work week... I might feel unemployed!

Barely anyone who worked in Alberta lived where they worked. Most always travelled so if you don't think people were willing to travel to work your def mis-informed. You must know something we dont... but People are just trying to save you the grief of coming out here and being let down. The ones that still have jobs at this point are holding onto them for as long as they can and no Ones hiring rookies like before. I'm predicting more job cuts after the winter season...
