In April 2010 my husband purchased a truck from CTI through lease/purchase program.
They made tons of promises and LIED! about EVERYTHING!
In the last year we have had to live off savings and tax returns just to get by.
    We're broke.
And my husband is working his butt off. He's NEVER HOME!
He was on the road from the first week of February until the last week of June. That is the longest stretch so far but NO home time is standard.
The piece of junk truck he bought from them constantly breaks down.
The dispatcher claims to be a former driver but he's very young and from comments made by my husband and other drivers I wonder if this man has a license to even drive a car much less a rig.
He is very ignorant of the business of trucking in a general sense.
I may not be a truck driver but I have been married to one for twenty years and I know when someone doesn't have any clue how to dispatch or drive a truck.
The management people my husband has had to deal with seem to have no idea how to run a company.
They are ignorant of travel and seem to also be ignorant of trucking laws.
We've seen many drivers give up and just quit out of frustration.
More than once they have asked him to do things that made absolutely no sense and could have endangered lives.
My husband is a tanker driver who hauls only haz-mat loads. It's a dangerous job. He needs knowledgeable people working with him who care about both driver safety and the safety of the public.
Cryogenic Transport does not care about anything but the $$$$.

Yes, I'm very angry. The last straw that brought me here was being informed today that my husband will receive no pay for the next 3 pay periods (one month) in order to pay for repair costs incurred in the last week.
He has asked numerous times for the company to work with him to pay off any repair debt. They show only minimal interest in anything but getting paid. The only time they agree to work with him is when he threatens to quit.
They don't want him to quit, he's a good driver. They have requested he turn in the truck and become a company driver.
But we have been paying notes on this truck for a year. We have paid for repairs that have practically rebuilt the truck.
That's a lot of money/time/work to have wasted for nothing.
The real kicker is that Hubby could come home, go to work at McDonalds, and make more money as a burger flipper than what he ever made in a "good" month working for Cryogenic Transport.
My husband has worked for some bad companies in the past, but this one takes the cake when it comes to not caring in the least bit about it's employees. (as shown by the fact that he's not getting paid for a month, so I can't pay rent/buy groceries/feed our children and they don't care!!)

My rant is over. Let it be a warning to anyone considering working for this company.
    They are BAD!!

My husband tore his bicep muscle and cryogenics cancelled his health insurance less than 24 hours after it happened. They are a bunch of crooks!
We are suing them now. It's a long drawn out process. I wouldn't work for them if they were the last trucking company on earth.

Regarding the OP: You made a series of bad choices and now you're looking for someone to blame. Cut and dried.

I heard from a few forums that this company had cameras filming the inside of the cab. Can someone tell me if there is any truth to that. I have an interview soon and I would like to know before I travel 2 hrs north. Not sure exactly how I feel about the matter but my first intuition is "uncomfortable". I think it will have a key role as to taking the job if indeed they do have them.

    Thx

I ran cryo for Praxair for 5 years, and talked to several CTI drivers... never heard anything good about them. In fact, most were getting ready to leave the company. Equipment concerns and hometime seemed to be the biggest complaints, and the cameras were a factor, too. There were rumblings that Praxair was going with cameras, too, but none were installed before I left.

Cryo is a good gig, but the 24/7/365 production schedule is not my cup of tea. It may work for some of y'all, but just not for me.

Well, all the above messages sound befitting for this Halloween season. Was thinking of putting truck on with CTI... After reading these old messages, I am very skeptical. Anybody got any up to date info on this company?

My bad for saying my husband I guess I was thinking about your post and was texting super fast for my fingers to keep up with. Going to CTI in my opinion won't be a wise choice.
