Why am I the only trucker to use an umbrella?

I used my umbrella today to do a pretrip on a trailer I was hooking... I could care less what others think... I was dry when I got back the truck

I usually only get stared at when I use my umbrella at the truck stop... When I'm twirling it on my shoulder and skipping across the parking lot.... Singing pippi long stocking!!!!

 

Who gives a rats ! $× what other people think.

the problem with fragile umbrellas is the wind plus they get wet.. shake it off and shake it off again.. hopefully it doesn't break then. how many umbrellas do you go thru season?

 

That's why you buy a good one and don't use it ifn it's windy.

 

I run a float and always throw on a rain coat and/or rain pants when I'm loading or unloading. If it's pouring rain and I've gotta be outside for anything, I'll throw it back on. Umbrella is a good idea though.

 

I use an umbrella. Unless its way too windy, then I use a cap and hooded rain jacket and also wear rubber boots. And gloves. But... I also drive an automatic and don't give a rats petooti what anyone thinks. I even have a hairdryer, but only use it when it's really cold out. I also have my knitting needles and yarn in the truck, knitting is way less stressful than playing video games. But I am also female, so no biggie. Y'all have a great year!

 

You are darn right I carry a umbrella. Used it many times to escort cute waitress/cashier girls that are getting off work to their cars.

 

My umbrella has unicorns and rainbows on it. Works great for me and I always know where its at. NOBODY wants to borrow it!
