Exactly. Once had an employer that changed their pay structure and we had to sign a paper agreeing to the new pay structure. They convieniently "forgot" to indicate what the new rates would be. Only 2 out of 30 of us signed it.

It's either sign or walk away, the person to ask the question of is a lawyer, not the person presenting the paper. The lawyer will tell you it's ok to sign and has no legal hold over you. The person presenting it may have other motives so I wouldn't trust them, especially on a legal issue.
-
You played it smart.folks need to read and fully understand what they are signing.
-
I know it.it's hard trusting anyone at a company.walstib Thanks this.

Same here. I refused to sign a paper saying a driver could be held financially responsible for a lost load. Like a rollover ect...
Also getting back to the physicals. I also heard the insurance companies are trying to weed out the "morbidly" obese... -
that doesn't surprise me about your last sentence and maybe that's why more and more companies test for sleep abnea.
-
Lol, so I'm not the only one.
-
What weight is considered "morbidly" obese?
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -
I find it quite funny, they want you to run up and down stairs...just to sit in a truck 24-7,to get fat?

Tanker companies are strict on heart rate tests. Don't want the driver to get dizzy and fall off the top of the tanker trailer. Sometimes the driver has to climb on top and then walk on a narrow catwalk during unloading or after unloading to secure the dome lids. The heart rate test is important for tanker drivers.Big Don, Lepton1 and MidwestResident Thank this.
