That's the thing with the holidays.
Once everyone comes back there are not enough loads to cover everyone.

I got up this morning with the dreaded red light blinking, and my power outlets were dead.
Well, so were the batteries. I could not start the truck.
I was at a TA so I went in to see if they would give me a jump, but it would cost me so I called on-road.
(At the last Love's I was given a jump free of charge, by the way.)
They had them give me a jump and check the batteries and electrical system.

They found 3 bad batteries, and the 4th they weren't sure about, so they recommended 4 new batteries to Swift.
Swift said no, that I could stop at a terminal en-route to change them.
Well, no terminals between there and here.

OK, if Swift won't get them changed when they need changing I guess I'll just idle. It will cost them more in the long run, but they are oblivious to the facts of life.

In the past month I've had to get jumped 3 times.
After the previous time I got the truck in the shop and they said the batteries were fine. Go figure.
All I had running was the bunk heater and the cooler, and I had run the engine for a couple hours before I went to sleep.

This truck will be retired within the next 3 months, and I guess Swift doesn't want to put any more money into it that they don't really have to.

So I FINALLY got a load, problem is NO MT and apparently there is only 1 planner working in PHX so ALL of my attempts to get through have failed.

I only have 22 days left but it's starting to look like it might be less, a LOT less.

    Muscatine, IA.

I waited half the day for the delivery appointment and it never happened. My DM finally had me t-call the load at a little drop yard we use here.
About 45 minutes later I get another load, this one picking in Cedar Rapids, IA early tomorrow morning and going to Laredo.

I know that when I was last in PHX in December I sure saw lots of empty trucks up front and many back by the detailing shop

That is one of the reasons I won't lease a truck.
The company drivers seem to always roll.

I may have a bad week now and then, but I do keep rolling.

And rumor has it that there is a reason for this right now
