I believe another person does that? A DM, wont mention his name (G)?

But on your first part all I can reply about about is how I look at being an Employee. I dont prefer night driving myself. If I do drive at night, I usually need an hour nap half way through. Lol.
However, being a Employee it is my job to work whatever hours the job demands. Some loads just have to be driven at night due to their delivery times, ect.
If I have enough time, I wholeheartedly flip it to days. And I do refuse to drive in Winter condictions at night for Safty reasons. I am a Southern boy after all. As long as its safe and legal, I'll do whatever.

Yeah several do but Mark seems to obsess in it....
This is another reason I run choice dedicated only to run at times I demand. You forget....YOU are the reason CE even exists...you and other drivers like you. CE needs to realize that it is a partnership between you both...not a dictatorship and that without drivers...all the staff would be at home on welfare...just saying ;)
I salute your sense to NOT drive in bad night winter conditions. Too many let some twit dispatcher bully them into doing so and well.....CE wonders why they have 100% on accidents. We ran into this last year when we ran for them coming across the mountains. Freak storm...they wanted us to keep rolling...we shut down anyway. Made them get us a motel room for the two days the highway was shut down later....

Yeah I lost a couple days the other week in WY. No load is worth dying over. Im pretty sure they dont like my Lip much, as I give it plenty.
I did quit CE beginning of Dec. Was going to go with Double J in WI. After OR, I just didnt like all the Babysitting and paperwork I was forced with. That and it wasnt a true.43 CPM, but .37 base then bonuses to .43. After waiting seven hrs for my first Dispatch, I called CE, rented a Car and went back.
They had a Truck, Fuel Card and a load waiting on me when I got there the next day. Stayed gone a whole two weeks.

It was all over the way they Dispatch. As I've stated many times, they're not a terrible Company. The Dispatch methods are hair pulling, but other than that I really do like it here.

Glad to hear you found a place you enjoy. May it last you a long time and many miles.

Where I am is not bad but going back to teaming on a dedicated to San Antonio Texas...same back and fourth...no screwy back-hauling and great money right out of the Dayton area.

Sounds good. I tried Teaming with my now Ex GF, hated it! Couldnt sleep, even bought a better mattress. Runs could have mostly been done Solo. When asked about the crap Solo runs for a Team, was told those were reserved for the dedicated Teams. Which I was led to believe I would be getting those sort of runs myself. No more short BS runs and no more sitting around. Mans exact words beforehand.

Anyways, she figured Trucking just wasnt for her and basically quit on our way back from Utah. She was to scared to drive on light snow in the day. So I dumped her. More to it, buts the fest of it. Back to staying out 90 days now. I hated taking every other weekend off. Broke my groove and lost miles. Besides, I was more fatigued after a 34 than if I just stayed out.

Would love to find myself a gig running East coast to the West coast on I-40 or South though.

If you can sleep Teaming, that is the way to go. I prefer my privacy and 10 hr breaks not moving.

I drove for Russ back in the early 90s. Im sure things have changed since then its sounds that way anyways. But the point is he HAD to change due to the way he treated his drivers. But sayg goes zebra cant change his strips.
In the early 90s if you needed a lumper for 200 and dispatch only approved 50. then the driver had to split the difference with CE . Sorry thats wrong. Russ ripped off alot of drivers to pay for that company plane

If he did that, then yeah, thats just wrong. Seems things have changed for the better? Now if only they could get some current, decent Dispatch software! Other than that, I do truly enjoy working there.
