OP,
Do yourself a favour and skip ALL "thermoelectric" type "coolers".
They are power hogs and don't work very well.
** If you want a GREAT iceless cooler/refrig/freezer, look for one with an actual compressor, and made to be mobile.
There are many brands but Dometic and ARB are about the best you can get.
With a real compressor fridge they cool MUCH faster and better, including having the capability to freeze.
Power consumption is also a FRACTION of what the cheap thermoelectric coolers use....

Dorm fridge from Walmart. This one is 4 years old, last one was 7. Sure it takes up room in front of the cabinet, but unless you are a lardass that can't get through a 2ft isle, or try ball room dancing in the truck you won't miss that floorspace.
It will run fine on a 1500 watt inverter. Once you get into your routine you can stock 2 weeks at a time. -
I hung out with a driver from Florida one day when I was new, and he was getting pop out of his Coleman cooler that was ice cold. I told him mine got cool at best and everything sweated a lot.
He pulled the cooler out and showed me a clip on fan he rigged up behind it and explained that the thermostat on the cooler kept things 30 degrees or so below the ambient air temp. The fan kept a breeze moving and "fooled" the cooler into almost freezing temps (this was on a hot day on July in PA).
I invested in 2 fans that clipped to a vent and the fridge behind mine and I was also able to keep frozen food for close to a week.
Then it was me giving out chilly pops to my friend.scottlav46 Thanks this. -

I can run both my Coleman and a lunchbox oven off the same 15A plug - at the same time.
I don't think it is taking that much power. -
I run a hvac hose from one ac vent to the cooler intake fan and freeze water bottles all the time. Had the Coleman going on 3 years now with no problems. Clean the fan with a blow gun every few months.

I don't even use mine anymore. I got tired of spending time preparing meals. I need to sleep, not try to prepare meals after I finish work. Sure, they're awesome for a while but I just don't have time. Except right now, with winter loads ...kinda wishing I had some yogurt. But whatever.
fargonaz Thanks this. -
If I wanted to die earlier I would get fast food or truck stop food.
I'll take the time to cook food that is actually good for me. -
My Coleman froze my #### bag of carrots yesterday. Though I did let the truck drop to like 60 inside overnight.

Not OTR anymore, but still have mine, works great
