Like i said i dont know if im explaining things right.
Heres a scenario...
Im in traffic and coming to a stop and im in 2nd gear. I can just push the, clutch in part way and leave it in second and start like that when traffic, moves?
Now if it was at a stop light i clutch in to,neutral and just sit there with the, clutch part way down...then green light clutch brake first, then to gear? Correct?
P.s. i dont need,to hold the,clutch in neutral like a car i assume.

First scenario yes.
Second no. If the truck is out of gear you won't need to keep the clutch in. -
But when in nut, you dont need any clutch at all. When you go to start, clutch all the way down and that engages the clutch brake. You may have to hold it down for several seconds or in some cases the brake is shot by abusive drivers

Ill come back to this topic another time when i can type on my computer im making so many mistakes typing from this, phone. Thanks for the help so far.

This thread is way more complicated than it needs to be.
Cheeseburgers Thanks this. -
First question answer.
While in a gear and stopped at a light you must engage the clutch otherwise you will move/stall. But you may also have to hold the brake so you don't roll back or toward and bump a 4 wheeler.
Question 2
When you come to a complete stop waiting for the light to turn green and once you disengage a gear are in neutral all you have to do is hold the brake and once it turns green hold the brake engage the clutch select a gear and slowly release the clutch till you feel it grab the gear and then release your foot from the brake and then the clutch and your moving.
As a new driver is recommend you put the clutch to the floor when waiting in gear. As well as don't coast in neutral to a stop until you pass your test
But to simplify. Not in a gear and stopped means no clutch just holding the brake. -
If you got it in gear.
Leave it in gear.
If you come to a full stop.
Take it out and take a break.
That make sense? -
So, if the truck is out of gear and the clutch is in will the truck run a red light if the trailer brakes are pulled and the ignition switch is off with the keys in my pocket??? I am mokanikally inclined just trying to figure
hunted and street beater Thank this.
