If I'm sitting in Sacramento and need to re-position to Atlanta, would it be bad business for me to take that $4/pm load for $1.03?

    And here you go boys.

This is why your cheap freight keeps on moving.

It has nothing to do with those cheap truckers that have no life but to sit in a truck stop all day. Freight-savvy truckers know how to make cheap freight work.

    Well mystery solved.

Well logically that makes perfect sense.
But it's not everyday it falls like that.
I took a load out of Bham,al to Fontana,Ca for $5200 banking on a load out of LA going over to fort hood Texas then back home to Bham,al.
Well when the military loads out of LA fell apart guess what I was doing..

Some guys don't understand, there will forever be cheap freight...once you learn how to use those loads as fillers an not as loads to brag to your buddies about then you'll understand the concept

At what point do you factor in your time, wear and tear and any other surprises that may come down the pike with your $1.03/mile load? I personally would rather bounce but that's me.

Even 3.00 a mile ain't enough money if you wanna be technical an compare it to wear and tear!...have you visited a repair shop lately?

Maybe im doing this wrong but I thought wear and tear should be figured into the business plan, nothing to technical about it. I don't usually make it a habit of visiting repair shops and try to keep up on things before they happen but I know there is the inevitable once in awhile. I would bet it would sting that much more trying to cover a load your under paying $1.03/mile
