Raven transport is starting a local gig in the Dallas area pulling for miller might be worth looking into...I worked otr for them and there a good company I really enjoyed them just left for a local gig cause they had no local openings in my area

 

Home daily & probably make $55K - $65K.

did they really get rid of little guy from youtube because other drivers were jealous of him?

 

heard that wally assigns you to a dc that needs a driver and it may not be the dc in your area. he could get assigned anywhere in the country and not be home for months. once a spot in the dallas dc opens he can transfer but they only allow a 34 at the house. if you show up to the dc early they make you work the dock until your clock is up. also they force you to give them access to phone records to see if you are texting while driving. plus they dress you up like a postman with a tucked in shirt. id never work for wally

I don't know who you spoke to but Ashley Furniture is definitely hiring out of Dallas right now for PTP and LTL. The typical freight companies are always hiring around there and those guys are usually home daily , however if he takes a linehaul job over a p&d , he'll most likely be doing night shifts..There are so many options to make over $50k and be home every day in that Dallas-Ft Worth area

Idk nothing bout that I'm no longer there however working on going back with them ad a rehire grass wasn't greener on local side lol for me personally I found them to be a good company but I can't speak to his situation

Another option, though I'm sure they wouldn't make your kind of money, is working as a yard spotter at one of those DC's near you.
