Every time I pass a Landstar I try to holler at them on the radio. But like most drivers these days? Silence until their stuck in a backup.

I've been wanting to ask a question, just out of curiosity.

Are y'all being governed back? Or are you just choosing to run slow to save fuel?

Landstar is all O/O we are not governed in anyway (in the US) .Most of us choose to run the speed limit or maybe a few mph more or less.Helps on the fuel costs. You may find a few that turn their trucks back when they put a driver in their truck but usually not the case.

Where I'm leased at, the owner has some trucks also at Landstar
He had to cut his back to 72 as the drivers were getting way to many tickets for high speeds, thus effecting his insurance rates

Who would govern us? Landstar? That's funny! The trucks that run Ontario and Quebec are governed there, but so is every other company. Landstar is a "run what you brung" company. The only caveats are it must pass their inspection, and have an electronic motor. The last part may change with the new ELD ruling exempting 99 and older trucks, but I doubt it.

I know it's all O/O. Just can't ever get one on the radio. I run with TSH. We're all O/O too.

That isn't just LS ya know. Cell phones have virtually eliminated the CB. If you miss it, just sit at the counter to eat at a TA/Petro!! I typically run with mine on, but I've been out here going on 20 years.
