Yesterday morning I was driving west on I40 in the panhandle of Texas. Roads were slick from the few inches of snow they had overnight. Saw the usual suspects in the ditch...nothing new until I saw this:

Wow indeed. I'm sure the driver is on their way to Walmart for some new underwear. Years ago, I've seen several single axle tractor trailers, laying on their side, with the cab pointed straight up in the air.
FerrissWheel, mountaingote and miss elvee Thank this. -
Truckers can do what they say can't be done!
White_Knuckle_Newbie, Lepton1, FerrissWheel and 3 others Thank this. -
Most likely they jackknifed, then the trailer came around broad side and tipped over.

I didn't know you could do a wheelie in a big rig. Hope everyone is ok.
miss elvee and mountaingote Thank this. -
How would you go about getting out of the truck in a situation like that? Wait for the fire department with a ladder truck to show up?
miss elvee and mountaingote Thank this. -
I'd have probably jumped out the passenger door onto the trailer, then hang off the edge and drop the last 2 feet or so onto the ground.
miss elvee Thanks this. -
