    I drive 3 and 9 due to cdl school and dot testing in 3 weeks. If you're with the examiner you lose points for not having both hands on wheel at all time unless shifting or at a stop light.

    On the concourse while backing up or setting up for a back with no instructor in truck one hand at either 6 or 12.

    I have always drove with one hand on the wheel and other hand on the shifter.its always been the best way for me to keep the semi in my lane and not fishtailing.
