Never trust the company you dedicate yourself too. On Jan 3 my awesome safety director called to check on me (saying he didn't know I was out sick). Also to tell me I no longer have a job. With that being said my insurance was cancelled. I was told cobra information would be mailed within 30 days. Until then I have nothing. And I'm to weak to call about insurance. My words to Hugh Hinton owner of Sterling Transport May Our Lord shine down on you as you shine down on others.

I would certainly search out your and his legal grounds. Now this is going to involve contacting a lawyer who specializes in "wrongful termination".
You mentioned "dedication" in your post. That human trait was buried years ago. I am sure that there are good decent employers still left in this world, where they are at, #### if I know.--LOL -
You have other options in getting your health care so don't let this set back get you down
