The end of the day situation is that the job still has a high turnover rate that the delivery companies have to deal with every year. It deals with it, (like every other trucking company), by continuing recruitment all year.
As for your situation - I get it. You work all year long. You are the exception - not the norm. I still contend that only around 5 percent of the drivers are working full time at delivering RV’s, (of course we will have to define what “full time” is in the delivery game). I don’t think very many delivery drivers is taking home $45 - 50k a year, (entry level truck driver pay).
Thats just the way it is. -
Well I will be doing it full time not part, so Im probably gonna lean more with what the guys doing it year round are telling me so that I stand that chance.
-
If 45-50k is entry level pay how come most threads on this forum start off with "I'm starving "? I think that's a far cry from the truth. -
i know the first year is gonna be a struggle to make 25k, getting things straight and running hard getting things figured out shouldnt be a problem exceeding that the 2nd or 3rd year out
-
I was using regular OTR pay for new drivers, (sorry for the confusion). I do agree RV delivery could book $45-50K if they worked full time all rear round, but they are far and few between. Of course taxes, medical, social security, etc, would need to come out of that as well. -
