03 mack 460aset, what to look for?

My dad's looking for a truck to put on the road when hauling frac sand comes to a halt pretty soon. I found him a 03 vision with the aset 460, 13 with 3.55s and 70in midroof for 21k. Has 825,000 with 236k on an inframe with all maintenance records and virgin rubber, southern truck with minimal rust.

My dad knows the pre egr e7 inside an out but really doesn't have much experience with the aset bs. Specifically what should we look for? I've heard mixed things about the 03 year. Some say the cams bad others say no problems. Mostly hear about electrical and turbo issues. Could a dealer reflash the ecm with 427 codes and throw the old style turbo on her? If it were me I'd be looking for a n14 or a 60 series but my old man is die hard mack and there is no changing his mind.

 

I figured since its rebuilt its had the cam fixed if it was a problem. I'm still waiting on the seller to get back to me. I'm having him send me all the service records
