You mean mobile homes transported from dealers lot to home site of the buyer ? I can't imagine them paying more than $15/hr plus you have to position it and possibly set it up, skirting etc.
Getsinyourblood Thanks this. -
There is a lot of hauling from manufacturer to dealers also. I hope you like changing tires because those mobile home tires SUCK!
okiedokie and Getsinyourblood Thank this. -
Most mobile homes I see being hauled there is always a 35 mph cross wind on a holiday weekend.

No seriously go for it if you want to. You would have a pretty good skill set learning that trade. I actually look up to those guys because they are better truck drivers than I am. They just don't have a reputation of paying a lot of money.roadmap65 Thanks this. -
You'll always have a bathroom handy. Perk of the job.
roadmap65, catalinaflyer and Getsinyourblood Thank this. -
Sometimes I'll notice a mobile home or one of those office trailers sitting on a tiny lot somewhere off of a tiny country lane and wonder how they got that thing to that particular spot. I'm sure that it is no easy job.Bob Dobalina and roadmap65 Thank this.

Definitely not a job for a rookie. I did it for a few weeks to help out a friend. a 64' X 18' segment is a handful everywhere. 4-wheelers honking, blocking intersections...sheesh ! And...incessant tire failures. Not a lot of fun. Not a lot of money in my experience. Placing them in parks & lots WILL make a driver out of you.

Incessant flat tires is usually when the "1 trip only" tires are on their 5th trip.....

BOY AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH

Be prepared to change lots of flat tires. LOL
