You can't go wrong if you get your training from Stevens. Just stick it out for a year, deal with the low pay and confusing mess from the mothership in Dallas, and after that year is up, you will be able to write your own ticket to nirvana. Stevens: Training Heaven, Trucking H**L.

I know some drivers that tried that with Stevens and it bankrupted them. Some people have family obligations or other financial obligatons and just can't afford to work for Stevens for 12 months.

Naw, those guys aren't wimps; they live on the road begging for miles.
They've both travelled over the world and lived in foreign countries, so they're no wimps afraid to leave their zip code.

Stevens is best for the training. As far a miles, who knows. Want miles and a paycheck, stay out for 5 weeks at a time, and go home for 5 days, rinse and repeat. Be proactive, informative, even though the mother ship is a black hole for information coming out.

The first year with any training company is going to be tough if you have a family and bills to support. Stevens has the best training for a Mega and I would add Prime & Schneider also, there training pay is a little better and they have other divisions (flat-tanker etc) to move into.

So is KLLM a no go then?. They are on my list simply because they offer a refresher program which I will most likely need. They aren't in my top 5, but they are still an option.
