I am always amazed at the many things that goes wrong with my 359 after it gets parked for the winter. Mice, air leaks, electrical, MV-3 valve...did I mention mice? And this is only after sitting 3 months......can you imagine 10 years? OMG.
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
Surprisingly my Freightliner FL70 sat for 3-4 years and the only thing it needed was a new set of batteries and a fuel filter. I'm going to take a guy with me tomorrow that is very knowledgeable about trucks and have him check it out tomorrow.

What's funny is it might hold up well for a little while even after a short trip from the old owner's place to the new. But likely once it gets to the new home the fun will begin with leaky this and leaky that. Lol. I would rather have one that had been worked until recently.

Might try a bowl of peppermint oil in the truck. That strong smell tends to keep them away. Also the bucket of water, copper pipe and soda can with peanut butter trick to drown the little buggers.rank Thanks this.

The drowning trap works good. I use a 5 gallon pail on my basement.
Where do I find peppermint oil? Do grocery stores carry that? -
Check this trap out. Looks like its a lot more effective than soda can on a dowel.
Knucklehead and rank Thank this. -
That was some of the best you tube viewing I've seen. Funny stuff. If only truck drivers learned as fast as mice.
-
10-12 inchs of Water in the Bucket would've sorted that Mouse out the 1st time It fell in...
To the OP... Buy a truck straight out of Work if you can..
Or Buy that T800 dirt Cheap & have a (BIG) project. -
I use those big sticky board things to catch mice. Have a few every now and then get in the garage. I even have them in the building were I keep my Gristmill but it is up off the ground and sealed Good so no problems out there.
