You should be honest on any employment application! In your case you put something on yours that is trivial but if checked out and its determined to not be the truth later on, well it could cost you your job. This example is not the norm for truckers, but what if later on you want to move into operations or safety? A lot of these jobs require at least a HS diploma. Its seen on your application you have a GED and as a part of the process this GED is asked for? Now you got a problem. I think the best thing you can do is contact your company HR dept and get that application fixed! Another thing that could trip you up (happened to a good friend of mine) is your company getting a government contract requiring background checks. Sometimes this is done without your knowledge. What if your application is looked at for accuracy and they see it? Again you might have a problem!

Even in the incredibly small chance you get caught down the road you will still have a CDL so you will be out of work all of 30 minutes.

Companies usually dont ask for the diploma because they can varify through public record. When they can not varify, the problems start

Agreed, but I have always believed in the old adage that an ounce of prevention is worth 5 pounds of cure.

Depends on the cost of the prevention.

Google has any diploma you want or need for a small fee.

Years ago I knew a Navy recruiter that went to a high school to interview a couple of guys. He was told to wait in an office and the prospective applicants would be there shortly. He started being nosy and snooping in a storage closet and found a stack of blank high school diplomas. Quickly put them in his briefcase. This really streamlined the time consuming issue of trying to get waivers for high school dropouts.
