Some do some don't same as any broker. I'm not leased to them, may be the leased drivers get better rates.
-
SO, I'm THIS CLOSE to signing up with GetLoaded. Waste of time, or what? (I'm an LTL flatbed, moving equipment and industrial cargo in and around Georgia.
-
Get truckersedge and truckstop. The first one has more loads and they appear there first, but some brokers like the second one better and post there first

I tried "Get loaded" years ago. It was a waste of time then. Don't know about now days.
I have been using "Dat 360" for a long time now and have been happy for the most part. I think I am going to sign up for "Internet truck stop" for a few months again.
I look at it this way. I'm not too concerned about the price of one verses another. That one gravy direct shipper a guy hooks up with can pay for years of subscriptions. Information is power.
What I would like to see is a 2 month history search. For when I book a load to a po dunk middle of nowhere town for round trip money. Beforehand it would be nice to search a 150 mile radius and see what has been posted in the last month. If there is 5 loads posted out of the same area in the last month that would have worked perfect to get back home or to a good area. Not to hard to do a search and find out who the shipper is on my own and delete the middleman from the start.Ruthless Thanks this. -
Thanks, Fellas.
The more I swim around, looking at boards, the more I think it's a waste of my time. Everything I'm seeing is van or TL. Not a lot of LTL or equipment moves. -
Is there a board that deals mostly with equipment moves? I could probably Google it...
-
Google search returned "WideLoadShipping" dot com Has anyone ever heard of, or used it?
-
I could be wrong, but i'm going to guess that high volume oversized shippers have direct connections and don't use loadboards much. Due to the value of the load and the permits required.
There's oversized out there. But not much better paying. And usually by light volume shippers. -
Yep. I believe you are right. I signed up for WideLoadShipping's free 5 day trial. There wasn't much going on, and what WAS, was scattered all over the US, and no easy way to search for anything.
I have a lot of local customers (thank goodness), but I'd like to find some filler, for those slow times. I like the ease of use on UShip, but the fees get steep quick and it's hard to make good money without gouging the customer.
