We made a minimum of $1k a week at Covenant doing dedicated work. Crappy company but we did ok..

Aren't there any LTL companies hiring in OKC ? Saia,odfl,conway,ups,fed-ex,central transport,r&l carriers, abf freight, etc,etc ..I don't think any of those guys make under $50k a year ..Even central transport drivers at my local tiny Tucson terminal get pretty good money for linehaul runs and they're home every day( night runs though)

Try U S Xpress has a yard in OKC. I drove till I lost 2nd hubby and went local end dump. US Xpress had easy going dispatchers and willing to work with you for days or holidays off. Pay was good too. Nice trucks too.

Big carriers suck to work for and have a high turnover rate forcing them to put ads on craigslist to replace the 800 drivers that quit last week.
Smaller companies that keep the driver's happy don't need to place ads for new drivers because there are always guys waiting in the wings for a good job.

Apply with your local LTL companies. You can have a local day run where you make multiple stops and be paid hourly, or take a line haul position. Terminal to terminal, mostly drop and hook. You should be able to make over 50K very easily. I worked at Estes Express Lines before I injured my knee and ran line haul. I was making .52mile and being a CA terminal driver we were paid hourly to fuel, pre/post trip, flat rate to make/break sets and to chain up. 70K was easy!.
