With my reply I am not trying to justify the practice. Most of the time your asked to parallel park while doing your road test for the CDL. I was told this is done so you can demonstrate control of the rig. There were many situations in my driving career that knowing how to control that trailer in a close situation saved my bacon. You get many benefits from learning how to parallel park that helps you in bad situations.

They were fine, especially for starting out with tankers. I spent 3 years there. I wouldn't go back for OTR with them, maybe dedicated or something. There are much better companies that run the way I like to run but Schneider wasn't a terrible place to work.
